Clayton and Lucinda Fredericks Team Up with Nupafeed |
 | We at Nupafeed are delighted to announce a new partnership with Team Fredericks. Nupafeed only sponsors riders who genuinely use and believe in our products, it’s great to be able to offer support to such a cohesive and elite team. "We were introduced to Nupafeed by working pupils from our yard who were using the MAH Calmer for horses who were particularly difficult. Having seen the great results, we decided to start using the supplements for ourselves with our own horses. What interested me most about the Calmer product is that it addressed the issue of magnesium deficiency in nervous horses - and how this affected their performance. We have now trialed the Calmer product on several nervous types with noticeable differences in their temperament, including The Frog - who's general disposition has been far calmer since." Clayton Fredericks |

Alice Oppenheimer and Headmore Delegate Join Elite Programme |
 | Alice Oppenheimer and her home-bred Headmore Delegate have been selected to join an elite programme backed by Team GBR, designed to help promising horses to compete and challenge for medals at future Olympic Games and World Equestrian Championships. Alice, who is based at the family's stud in Four Marks, Hampshire, is already a successful 'young rider' and has recorded excellent results at national level. The 'Equine Pathway' was set up in 2006 to work with riders to help maximise their horse's potential; development is monitored against a pre-determined, but flexible pathway. The chosen horse must have the ability to become 'World Class'. The programme varies from training sessions to competition planning, from veterinary advice to sports science. Seven year-old 'Headmore Delegate' is by the Grand Prix sire Dimaggio, and in 2008 and 2009 was awarded the best British-bred five-year-old and six-year-old respectively by the British Equestrian Federation. Alice, 20, comments: “It is every rider's dream to be able to compete at an Olympics or World Games. 'Delegate' will be reaching his dressage prime for the Rio Olympics in 2016 and that is a major target for me. Meanwhile, the support of the 'Equine Pathway' and other potential sponsors will be invaluable to us both. It's an honour to be chosen.” Click here to view Alice's Testimonial |

 | Andrew Gould: 'I thought I would set myself an enormous challenge for next year and what better than the Virgin London Marathon! Today I got my place confirmed. I am fairly fit from riding horses and playing football but I don't think I realise the pain ahead of me. I am lucky to be running with my best friend and fellow rider Daniel Timson. Living only round the corner from each other we should be able to train together pounding the pavements of Billingshurst and beyond! I am running for Spinal Research a charity I have worked closely with for a few years. They are a fantastic charity hoping to one day find a cure for paralysis through their research into spinal cord repair. I am an Ambassador for their Saddle Up Campaign which does terrific things in the equestrian world. I know that riding is a high risk sport whether you hack or compete at a high level in a discipline. I have had many falls in my career but luckily have walked away with no long term injuries. However there are plenty of people who are not so lucky and it's them I am running for. To get them walking again and back on a horse.' Halliday Ends Season with Tweseldown Victory |
 | Liz Halliday brought her 2009 eventing season to a close with another victory last weekend. The American dual sportswoman, who combines careers as a 3 Day Eventer and trainer with that of a professional racing driver won the Open Pre-Novice category of the British Eventing Horse Trials at Tweseldown riding her horse Donovan (Intrepid). The event marked a return to competition for Donovan who has missed the past four months due to a muscle injury. What was planned as a gentle return to action became a complete domination of the Open Pre-Novice category as Donovan, who started the year with second place in the CCI* event at Barroca D'Alva in Portugal, led from start to finish. A score of 25.5 put Halliday and Donovan in the lead after Dressage and double-clear rounds in the Show Jumping and Cross Country tests secured the win. "It's very nice for Donovan to win his comeback event," said Halliday. "He's been out since June with a muscle strain and a stifle injury, but performed really well considering he hasn't competed for so long. He's a very promising young horse and hopefully this result means that he is back on track for next season." |
